The specialty pharmacy market began its rapid development into the dynamic industry that it is today in the late 1990s, but structure was required to help this fledgling industry mature and meet the emerging marketplace needs of its key stakeholders.
In recognition of that need, the leaders of Armada Health Care in 2004 decided to create an organization dedicated to fostering a business model that is focused on bringing these stakeholders together. Armada Health Care’s initial focus was based upon a group purchasing organization, leading to strong relationships with pharmacies and drug manufacturers.
As our company continued to grow, we built upon our technology solutions, forming ApproveRx and Online Therapy Management initiatives, using the web as an easy-access portal for pharmacies and physicians alike. We also extended our reach to provide functional HUB services as well as pre and post commercialization strategies for manufacturers. Additionally, we have found efficient ways to ensure proper utilization, increase compliance and persistency, while serving the needs of the payer community.
Above all, we’ve developed an ever-expanding ASPN managed network, which we can use to better service our clients with up-to-date information, access to specialty pharmaceuticals and assurance that we have the tools necessary to meet many of their healthcare needs.
